Instructions

Cake:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two 8-inch round cake pans and set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, and beat until combined. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
