Mudslide Cake Recipe Alcohol

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup mudslide liqueur

Instructions
Cake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add in eggs, one at a time, beating until incorporated. Beat in vanilla extract.
Add in the dry ingredients and the buttermilk, alternating between the two. Beat until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pour batter into prepared cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow cake to cool slightly in the pan before turning out onto a wire rack and letting cool completely.
Frosting
In a medium bowl, combine the heavy cream and the chocolate chips. Place the bowl over a pan of simmering water, stirring until the chocolate chips have melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and let cool.
In a large bowl, beat together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the cooled cream and chocolate mixture.
Spread the frosting over the cooled cake. Drizzle with the 1/4 cup of mudslide liqueur.
